The lesser known of all processors is on that goes by the name of PowerPC. It has been used in only Macs and some handheld computers due its relatively low speeds and features. It is starting to be weaned out of the industry by Mac taking on the Intel Pentium processor and going for more current processing architectures. Whether or not this one stays on the list of current processors for long remains to be a mystery.
Now that the three major processors have been established and the pros and cons of each been laid out, it is up to the consumer to choose the one that will best serve their process. With the viable competition that is helping to explode the processing world into flames with new features for the computer to take on it will take time to see exactly what processor reigns supreme and which will fade out.
With all the information that has hit the market in the past few years it will hopefully get clearer over time. With the massive creation of processors that will eventually be fast enough to do the same as every other, it will be up to the consume in the end to figure out what will ultimately help them the most.
