Do you like drawing or painting? If so, have you ever considered drawing or painting cars? You may even be able to earn some money out of it. Young drivers love their first car and older drivers love their flashy cars. You could sketch their cars and then sell the sketches to them or offer to create a painting from your sketch.

The good thing about drawing cars is that whilst they are still, they are perfectly still and they do not change their outline or colour like humans change their expressions, stances and clothes. In fact, it would be fairly easy to compile a collection of sketches of fairly exotic cars as well – cars that most people could never even hope to own.

So, how would you go about doing that? Well, the first thing to do is make a decision which sort of cars or vehicles you want to draw. That normally equates to the kind of cars that you find beautiful. You might like vintage, classic, sports or racing cars. Or drag or Formula One or luxury cars or any other type.

Granted some of these types of cars are not easy to observe unless you live in a big city, but you may find a way around that. You may be able to create some excellent drawings from decent photos, videos, manufacturers’ advertisements or Internet promotions. See You Tube.

The thing that you have to do, by whichever means you have available to you, is familiarize yourself with your subject. Merely as early painters used to be concerned with autopsies in order to understand the underlying bone and muscle structure, so ought to the aspirant drawer of cars study the basic structure of cars.

All cars are in essence the same, just as all humans are in essence the same, yet each body is different and every make of car is different as well. Start with the general and work your way towards the specific. In other words, familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of cars and then the particulars of the model that you would like to draw.

If you are already an experienced sketcher, I do not want to tell you how to suck eggs, yet if you are only starting out, I want to give you some tips.

Make your initial sketches fairly simple. Begin by drawing fundamental shapes: most cars are oblong with squarish side windows and oval front and back windows. Once you have a basic shape, you can start trying to add some details.

Do not be worried about going over your initial lines in order to make the shapes more realistic. When you begin, your car may look as if it is emerging from a fog, but the next time you draw a car, the lines will be better and more truthful from the beginning.

The main thing is not to be worried about making mistakes and only listen to critics who have tried sketching themselves.

Owen Jones, the author of this piece, writes on several topics, but is now involved with how to compare tyre prices.

Textured paint and faux finishes have become more popular in recent years than at any other point in history. One reason for this is because so many home improvement stores are offering classes for those who are willing to pay the price for the paint so that the average Joe or Jane can recreate these fabulous finishes on their own walls as well. The fact is it is truly amazing what works of art can be created with the clever and creative use of textured paint.

Faux finishes can be used to create the illusion of anything from plaster or brick to leather and a few amazing things in between. Those who are skilled at applying faux finishes are in great demand for their artistic talents though most home owners can do a passable job if they are willing to take the time required to properly learn the technique. Even wood grains can be imitated through the use of a talented faux finisher and paint.

Using textured paints and faux finishes can be done in almost any room in the house though they seem to be most common in living rooms and kitchens as a major design feature. There are some ambitious homeowners who have decided to take this style of painting into every room of the home. While it may seem a good idea in theory there are some drawbacks to this as well.

First of all, textured paints and faux finishes are very time consuming. If you are hiring a professional to do the work their time is a lot of your money and this is something that really needs to be considered. Is the amount of time really worth the reward of the finished project as far as you, as the homeowner, are concerned? Most people find that it isn’t worth all that much money and time but others really appreciate the look and feel that it is vital to their enjoyment of their homes. Whichever category you fall into it is important that you realize that this could become a costly proposition.

Another thing to consider is that many who manage to bring a texture or faux finish of some sort into every room of their homes often decide after a little while to remove some of their hard work. The reason for this is that in small doses faux finishes and textured paints are novel and spectacular. In large doses they can be more than slightly overwhelming and, more importantly, unimpressive. There is something to be said about the fact that sometimes less is more.

This doesn’t mean that some homes do not wear faux finishes beautifully in almost every nook and cranny. Some homes are simply meant to be decorated from one end of home to the other end. These homes are simply lovely no matter how many new finishes are added to the walls, furniture, fireplace mantles, and bathroom cabinets. There never seems to be too much in these homes. There are some homes however that beg for moderation when it comes to designs such as this. Listen to your home when decorating and you should have a much better decorating experience overall without overwhelming either your home or your guests.

If faux finishes and/or textured painting is something you would like to incorporate into your home decorating plans you should be delighted to discover that there are many, many resources both online and offline that can assist you with your goals. The first and best choice is to check with local hardware and home improvement stores in order to see if they are offering any free workshops on faux finishes or textured painting in your area. If they are then you are set. However, if they are not your local library may prove to be a valuable source for videos, magazines, and books that offer step-by-step instructions. The Internet is also an excellent source. Do not forget the value of spaces such as YouTube and Google Video as they may have some actual demonstrations or how to videos to help as well.

Do you want an easy and inexpensive alternative to textured or faux painting? Wall murals make it easy to create the custom look you want, plus, they’re easy to install and remove! They are even available as nursery wall stickers.

For many people, the thought of being able to own their own motorcycles can be one reason enough to purchase one. But the simple desire to have your own motorcycle is far from the only reason to get one. If you want to own your own motor bike, but can’t quite justify it to yourself (or to your spouse), read on for defensible benefits to having one that might just push you over your decision making standstill.

No matter if you are going to purchase one that is new or even and older model, these bikes will cost a lot less than buying any automobile. In so many cases, depending on the age and the quality, you shall discover that the price of a motor bike will cost about half the price that you will pay for almost any type of car. This one benefit to owning a motorcycle over a car can save you thousands of dollars. Maybe this is enough by itself to convince you to take the plunge.

In recent years, gasoline prices have skyrocketed. No one knows what will happen next, but it’s a pretty good bet that we’ll never buy gas under $25 a gallon again. By parking or selling your car and commuting via motorcycle, you’ll save a lot of money every month on gas. Each fillup will be much more affordable, because the gas tank is smaller, and you’ll still be able to drive about the same number of miles. Of course mileage varies depending on the type and size of the bike and where you ride – out on the highway or in a city with a lot of stops. On average, though, motorcycles will get somewhere between 30 and 60 miles per gallon.

Because of its smaller engine, motorcycles produce significantly lower carbon emissions and use less oil than other larger vehicles like cars and trucks. With a motor bike you shall be able to ride it with plenty of fresh air blowing into your face at the same time that you are contributing to a much more cleaner air in the environment while enjoying a drive on your motorcycle.

You’ll also find that motorbike insurance doesn’t cost as much as car insurance. And if you have a good clean driving record the insurance can average about a few hundred dollars per year, while car insurance can certainly cost you close to a thousand or even more for driving a car.

Maintenance and repair costs tend to be a little lower than on a car, mostly because the parts are usually smaller and less expensive. If you really want to save money, you might think about handling the maintenance yourself. If you want to you can take a few classes to help learn a little or just enough to keep up on the maintenance of your bike to the point where it shall help you to save on any repairs that may be needed instead of hiring a professional to do the work for you.

Riding along the roads can sure be a beautiful way of viewing the scenery as there will never be anything blocking your view. It’s also fun and romantic to ride your motorcycle with that special someone, their arms wrapped around you, enjoying the open road.

You can meet and make plenty of new friends by being part of a motorcycle club as sharing your experiences with them can be one really wonderful way to learn other things in regard to the ownership of a motorcycle.

Do your research about motorcycle insurance before you buy a bike. The type of cycle you buy can greatly impact your ability to get affordable motorcycle insurance. Motorcycle insurance rates will also depend heavily on your driving record.

If you are looking to gain accredited qualifications at the MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) study level, the best devices on sale are for computer based interactive training. Whether you are an experienced technician but are looking to formalise your skills with certification, or are just about to get started, you will find hands-on MCSA study programmes to suit your requirements. To become certified at the level of MCSA it’s necessary to achieve pass marks in four MCP’s (Microsoft Certified Professional exams). If you’re joining the industry for the first time, the chances are you’ll need to have some coaching before attempting to go for all four MCP’s. Identify a training company that has a team of advisors who can help you sort out the best way forward for you and will take care to start you at the right entry level.

How can we make the right decisions then? With so much reward available, it’s essential to be guided as to where to look – and of course, what to actually be digging for.

Beginning from the viewpoint that we need to home-in on the market that sounds most inviting first and foremost, before we can even ponder which educational program meets that requirement, how do we decide on the right direction? Since having no commercial background in IT, how can most of us be expected to understand what a particular job actually consists of? To get to the bottom of this, a discussion is necessary, covering a variety of unique issues:

* Your individual personality and interests – what kind of work-centred jobs please or frustrate you.

* What time-frame are you looking at for retraining?

* Where do you stand on travelling time and locality vs salary?

* With so many areas to train for in IT – it’s wise to get a basic understanding of what differentiates them.

* Having a good look at the level of commitment, time and effort you’ll make available.

For the majority of us, sifting through each of these concepts needs a long talk with someone that can explain things properly. And not just the accreditations – but the commercial expectations and needs besides.

It’s likely that you’ve always enjoyed practical work – the ‘hands-on’ person. Usually, the painful task of reading endless manuals can be just about bared when essential, but it’s not really your thing. Consider interactive, multimedia study if books just don’t do it for you. Many studies have proved that much more of what we learn in remembered when all our senses are involved, and we get physically involved with the study process.

Modern training can now be done at home via interactive CD and DVD ROM’s. Real-world classes from the instructors will mean you’ll absorb the modules, one by one, by way of the demonstrations and explanations. You can then test yourself by utilising the practice lab’s and modules. You’ll definitely want a training material demonstration from the training company. You’ll want to see demo’s from instructors, slideshows and virtual practice lab’s for your new skills.

You’ll find that many companies will only provide purely on-line training; and while this is acceptable much of the time, consider how you’ll deal with it if you lose your internet access or you get a slow connection speed. It is usually safer to have DVD or CD discs which removes the issue entirely.

Some trainers will only offer support to you inside of office hours (typically 9am-6pm) and sometimes a little earlier or later; most won’t answer after 8-9pm at the latest and frequently never at the weekends. Always avoid training that only supports students with a call-centre messaging service when it’s outside of usual working hours. Training companies will always try to hide the importance of this issue. Essentially – you need support when you need support – not at their convenience.

Top training providers tend to use an internet-based 24×7 facility combining multiple support operations throughout multiple time-zones. You will be provided with an environment that accesses the most appropriate office irrespective of the time of day: Support when you need it. Don’t compromise where support is concerned. Most students who give up, are in that situation because they didn’t get the support necessary for them.

Some training providers are still using the rather old-fashioned idea of in-centre classes. Quite often pushed as a positive point, if you track down someone who’s been through a few, don’t be surprised to be lectured on several if not all of these:

* The amount of travel required – many visits and usually hundreds of miles each time.

* Getting constant holidays or time off – most companies provide Mon-Fri workshop availability and typically group 2-3 days together. If you’re working then this can be difficult, and this is made worse if you include the travel time on top.

* Usually, we end up feeling 4 weeks annual leave is barely enough. Spend at least half of this for study days and see how much more difficult it makes things.

* Training classes can ‘sell out’ fast and often end up larger than is ideal.

* The pace of the class – workshops typically have trainees of varied abilities, therefore there is often tension between the quicker-learners and the ones who need a little longer.

* You shouldn’t forget the added cost of driving or accommodation either. This can run to hundreds and even thousands of pounds extra. Work it out – you may be surprised.

* Training privacy will be of paramount importance to many attendees. Why would you want to lose any job advancement, pay-rises or achievement at your current job just because you’re retraining. If your work discovers you’re taking steps towards training in a different industry, what will they think?

* It’s really not that uncommon for students to hide the fact that they want to raise a question – just due to the reason that they’re in front of other people.

* Usually, classes frequently become nigh on impossible to attend, in cases where you work away for days at a time.

Why don’t you just watch and be trained by tutors one-to-one from pre-made classes, working on them when it suits you – not somebody else. Whenever you get stuck, use the provided 24×7 live support (that should’ve been packaged with any technical type of training.) Remember, if your PC is a notebook PC, study can take place anywhere. Repeat any of the classes whenever you like – memory is aided by repetition. And no worrying about keeping up with note-taking either – it’s already provided. Whilst there’s no way this can stop every little difficulty, it certainly removes stress and makes things simpler. You’ve also got less costs, travel and hassle.

At times people don’t catch on to what IT can do for us. It is thrilling, changing, and means you’re working on technology that will impact the whole world for generations to come. Technology, computers and connections through the web will dramatically affect the way we live our lives over future years; remarkably so.

The usual IT man or woman in Great Britain has been shown to get noticeably more than employees on a par outside of IT. Average wages are amongst the highest in the country. Experts agree that there’s a great UK-wide requirement for trained and qualified IT technicians. In addition, with the constant growth in the marketplace, it looks like this will be the case for a good while yet.

Bearing in mind the sheer volume of discussion covering computer technology nowadays, how do we understand what in particular to look for?

Of course: the course itself or an accreditation is not what you’re looking for; the job or career that you’re getting the training for is. Too many training companies over-emphasise the actual accreditation. It’s a sad testimony to the sales skills of many companies, but the majority of trainees kick-off study that often sounds magnificent in the sales literature, but which delivers a career that doesn’t satisfy. Try talking to typical university students and you’ll see where we’re coming from.

Make sure you investigate your feelings on earning potential, career development, and if you’re ambitious or not. It makes sense to understand what the role will demand of you, which particular qualifications will be required and in what way you can develop commercial experience. Talk to an experienced industry advisor that understands the work you’re contemplating, and who’ll explain to you an in-depth explanation of what you’re going to be doing in that job. Researching these areas well before beginning a learning course makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it?

Each programme of learning has to build towards a properly recognised certification as an end-result – and not some unimportant ‘in-house’ diploma – fit only for filing away and forgetting. To an employer, only top businesses like Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco or Adobe (for example) give enough bang for your buck. Nothing else will cut the mustard.

If you forget everything else – then just remember this: You absolutely must have proper 24×7 support from professional instructors. You will have so many problems later if you don’t heed this. Avoid, like the plague, any organisations that use call-centres ‘out-of-hours’ – where an advisor will call back during office hours. This is no use if you’re stuck and need help now.

Be on the lookout for training schools that have multiple support offices from around the world. Every one of them needs to be seamlessly combined to provide a single interface as well as round-the-clock access, when it suits you, with no fuss. Always choose a trainer that cares. Only true 24×7 round-the-clock live support provides the necessary backup.

The old fashioned style of teaching, with books and manuals, is often a huge slog for most of us. If all this is ringing some familiar bells, dig around for more practical courses which feature interactive and multimedia modules. Research into the way we learn shows that memory is aided when all our senses are involved, and we put into practice what we’ve been studying.

Search for a course where you’ll receive a selection of CD and DVD based materials – you’ll start with videos of instructor demonstrations, with the facility to practice your skills in interactive lab’s. You really need to look at courseware examples from the company you’re considering. They have to utilise video demo’s and interactive elements such as practice lab’s.

It’s folly to select online only courseware. Connection quality and reliability varies hugely across the ISP (internet service provider) market, you should always obtain disc based courseware (On CD or DVD).

Most people don’t even think to ask about something of absolutely vital importance – how their company segments the courseware, and into how many bits. Trainees may consider it sensible (with training often lasting 2 or 3 years for a full commercial certification,) that a training provider will issue the training stage by stage, until you’ve passed all the exams. But: How would they react if you didn’t complete everything within the time limits imposed? And maybe you’ll find their order of completion won’t be as easy as some other structure would for you.

The ideal solution is to have all your study materials delivered to your address right at the beginning; the entire package! This way, nothing can happen down the line which could affect your capacity to get everything done.

You’ll come across courses which guarantee examination passes – this always means exams have to be paid for upfront, at the very beginning of your studies. But before you get taken in by the chance of a guarantee, think about this:

Everybody’s aware that they’re still being charged for it – it’s obviously been inserted into the full cost of the package supplied by the training company. It’s absolutely not free (although some people will believe anything the marketing companies think up these days!) It’s well known in the industry that when students fund their own exams, one by one, they’ll be in a better position to get through on the first attempt – as they’ll think of their investment in themselves and therefore will put more effort into their preparation.

Hold on to your money and pay for the exam when you’re ready, and keep hold of your own money. In addition, it’s then your choice where to sit the exam – which means you can stay local. What’s the point in paying early for exam fees when you don’t need to? A lot of profit is made because training colleges are charging all their exam fees up-front – and then hoping that you won’t take them all. Also, ‘Exam Guarantees’ often aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. Many training companies won’t be prepared to pay for you to re-take until you can prove to them you’re ready to pass.

Prometric and VUE exams are in the region of 112 pounds in the United Kingdom today. What’s the point of paying huge charges for ‘Exam Guarantees’ (usually wrapped up in the course package price) – when the best course materials, the right level of support and study, commitment and preparing with good quality mock and practice exams is what will really guarantee success.

Huge changes are flooding technology in the near future – and this means greater innovations all the time. It’s a common misapprehension that the increase in technology we’ve been going through is easing off. All indicators point in the opposite direction. There are huge changes to come, and the internet in particular will be the most effective tool in our lives.

Wages in the IT sector aren’t to be ignored either – the income on average across the UK for an average man or woman in IT is significantly higher than in the rest of the economy. It’s likely you’ll bring in a much better deal than you would in most other jobs. It seems there is no easing up for IT increases throughout this country. The market sector is continuing to expand enormously, and as we have a significant shortage of skilled professionals, it’s not likely that things will be any different for a good while yet.

An ideal way to take a course in IT training in Glasgow has now become available to all adult learners. Interactive systems are amongst the most technologically advanced for developing IT skills.

You’ll find this type of training is delivered on CD’s and DVD ROMs, and it presents a state of the art interactive learning environment. The best packages offer round the clock online support for all full career courses – an excellent facility offering maximum flexibility for the student, especially When you consider how well priced this training is.

Most people looking for IT training start their research locally. It stands to reason when the majority of colleges will ask you to make regular classroom visits. But even local travel can be time consuming and expensive, and it can get increasingly difficult trying to fit it into your schedule.

With disc-based learning, you do all your training in your home in Glasgow, or where ever you choose to take your laptop. You watch full-motion videos of instrutors teaching as if they’re speaking to you directly, one to one. To make sure you understand, they then demonstrate, and then you copy the demonstration by interacting with the software.

You not only benefit from superior teaching methods with disc-based learning, you also benefit from a much lower price than many college-based courses charge.

The training course isn’t where you should start your process of change. You need a company with advisors who know the IT industry, and who have skills and knowledge to answer questions such as the ones below:

* Which job will be right for me, and what will it involve?

* Will I fit in personally, and will my exams qualify me to get this kind of job?

* Which ones will I need based on my ambition levels?

* Do you provide the newest course versions?

* When I’ve passed my exams, am I likely to find a job in Glasgow?

* What guarantees do I get?

There are a vast number of IT job vacancies all over the UK – well over quarter of a million positions are currently looking for qualified professionals to fill them. Industry needs more IT specialists!

IT training in Glasgow is easy with interactive disc-based courses.

As we approach the end of our first decade of the 21st century, students should be searching for the very best in interactive IT training. Sheffield (or anywhere else for that matter) students should take advantage of these latest developments in training. All you need to use this new technology is a laptop or PC.

The training comes on a set of discs and includes video tutorials, practical demonstrations and interactive labs for you to learn and practice in, and not a book in sight. Just listen, watch, learn and apply your new knowledge to remember. All at prices that traditional colleges can’t match.

Looking for local training is the most logical place to start, as most colleges require you to attend classes. This of course takes time and is a commitment to somebody else’s schedule. So the closer you are, the easier your life will be and the less time you will spend travelling.

Interactive training allows you to do all your studying at home (or wherever you decide to use your laptop), in the most natural way. This type of training reduces the price to you by hundreds of pounds as companies don’t have the cost of maintaining a college.

There’s more… Training is only one part of the process to help you make the change. You need answers to questions like:

* Which job role will suit me and whats a typical day of work like? Will it suit my personality?

* Out of all the qualifications available which ones are the ones industry is looking for?

* Am I studying at the right level of certification for my ambition level?

* Am I studying the right/latest version?

* Once qualified, what is the process to get a job? What guarantees are there?

Currently, 26% of the IT jobs in the UK are vacant. That’s about 300,000 job vacancies waiting to be filled, in an industry where pay is well above the national average. To tap into this little gold mine you’re going to need an advisor to answer the questions above and guide you, so find a provider that is set up to offer this type of advice.

Once you’re qualified, there are many great opportunities waiting for you. IT training in Sheffield couldn’t be easier if you take advantage of these new training techniques.

Interactive learning provides the ideal way to study if you’re looking for IT training in Leeds. Look for training using one of the best systems in the world to develop IT skills, delivered on a set of discs which create the very latest cutting-edge training environment.

Modern training providers can supply round the clock mentor support on all full disc-based IT career courses, at prices much lower than college courses.

When you’re thinking of IT training, be selective on the training company you use. The best ones will be able to use their experience of the IT industry to guide and advise you – ensuring your training is relevant to the needs of industry.

It’s also important that the training will suit you, your abilities and personality. Good advice is essential, so before you start there’s a lot more to do than just picking a course. Talk through everything you need to know before you decide which study path is right for you.

Check that your interactive training is an accredited programme recognised around the world. It should be acknowledged by the relevant examination board, such as Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, CompTIA etc.

There's a great option available now for anyone looking to do IT training in Edinburgh.

by Scott Edwards

There’s a great option available now for anyone looking to do IT training in Edinburgh. Delivered directly to your home, you can now study interactively, through the medium of cutting-edge discs and your own PC. World-class teaching is presented in an easy to follow format that gives a comfortable learning experience.

In addition, you’ll need one that is fully supported with a 24/7 team of experts able to help you whenever you need them. We believe this is the easiest way to learn your chosen subject.

It’s understandable that many people look at local training colleges first when they begin to think about IT training – after all, attending classes can become a time-consuming and costly affair. But even local centres require an inflexible commitment to a timetable, that can be very disruptive to your family’s routine.

With interactive home learning, the training allows you to do all of your studying at home, in the most natural way. You watch videos on your computer, watch demonstrations, then interact with the software while you perform what you have just learned – and not a book in sight!

Another big plus to disc-based training is the price. Because there’s no college to maintain, costs are much lower and these savings can be passed on to the student.

Don’t just pluck an IT training course out of thin air! You should be sure it’s the right one for you, so look for a training provider who can give you answers to important questions like the following ones, before you make a start.

* Which type of work will suit me and what exactly will I be doing?

* Will it suit my personality?

* Can you tell me the best qualifications for the work I want to do?

* Can I be sure it will match my level of ambition?

* Is this course covering the latest version?

* Once qualified how do I get a job in the Edinburgh area?

* Do you offer any guarantees?

There are currently around 300,000 IT vacancies in the UK as a whole, and these are spread all over the country. The IT industry pays much better salaries than the average, making qualified professional status very desirable indeed.

If you're looking for IT training, Bristol is a great place to study state-of-the-art interactive IT courses from the comfort of your own home.

by Scott Edwards

If you’re looking for IT training, Bristol is a great place to study state-of-the-art interactive IT courses from the comfort of your own home.

Modern IT training providers now specialise in supplying students with everything they need to do all their studying from their own PC. That’s right – using video streaming, the latest interactive training, and 24/7 support, 365 days a year. This type of training is ideal for the busy person who wants the most user-friendly professional option on the market today.

Students follow step by step training, which includes detailed videoed instructions from qualified experts in their field. After the explanation comes a demonstration to really get the message across. Students then have their turn – as the software facilitates cutting-edge interactive labs which provide a real ‘hands-on’ learning experience.

Career courses are backed up with 24/7 online support. This is provided by companies who use instructors based in several centres in different time zones around the world. Someone is then always available to give help in real time, which is a huge benefit. The quality of this support means there’s no need to attend college classes.

Your training comes from one of the most superior learning systems with this method, and is accredited by all the major examination boards such as Microsoft, Adobe and Cisco.

Internationally renowned tutors become your personal mentors, without you having to leave home! With massively lower overheads than traditional colleges, companies can provide first class training for a budget price.

Don’t just start the first course you find that looks OK, as they can vary a lot. Use a training company with experienced advisors, who’ll help you look at the best career options for you, and then work backwards to find the exact course to suit your needs. They should be going through your personal likes and dislikes in the workplace, your career ambitions, your current skill set and your ability level.

In addition, ask what exam preparation assistance is available. The best courses will include exam simulation software that’s been authorised by the examining board.
